A place where Colorado Rockies baseball card collectors (all 3 of us) can waste some time reading about our favorite sport. The Rockies and their cards will be the primary focus, but I like to go off on tangents as well so anything and everything baseball related may be covered here.

2014 Quarry Unlimited - #4 Baltimore Orioles Part 1

The Baltimore Orioles were a team that I was really confused about ranking this year.  For the most part, I really like the Orioles.  However, they have three things against them.  First, their biggest star Manny Machado has shown himself to be the most petulant player this side of Arizona and is really unlikable.  Second, they have Ubaldo and after being traded from the Rockies he proved himself to be a total jerk.  Finally, my last memory of the Orioles from the 2014 season was seriously rooting against them versus the Royals in the ALCS.  However, in the end after considering how much I was actively cheering for the Royals coupled with the facts of Machado being hurt, Ubaldo sucking, and that I would have been rooting for the Orioles against anyone else in the playoffs, I decided they were worthy of the #4 slot in my rankings.

Wieters card is the easy champ here, though I really love seeing Brad Brach get a card (I mean, I know that EVERY player gets one, but I love that a 42nd round draft pick has made it to the pros).
