A place where Colorado Rockies baseball card collectors (all 3 of us) can waste some time reading about our favorite sport. The Rockies and their cards will be the primary focus, but I like to go off on tangents as well so anything and everything baseball related may be covered here.

Sunday PWE Trade Bait #7

Greetings all.  If you are following sports at all, you are probably aware that we are in the middle of the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament.  Normally, this was one of my favorite weekends of the year.  But 2020 basically killed everything normal and now we are trying to evolve into what our species is going to become in the future.  Seriously, I have just not been particularly excited about basketball this year due to Kentucky playing so poorly and not even making the Big Dance.  In addition, I was not a fan when I heard they were changing the opening weekend from Thursday-Sunday to Friday-Monday.

Or at least that's what I thought before the tourney began.  Once the actual games begin, I am sitting on the edge of my seat watching teams that I have not seen play a single game this year.  Or in the case of Abilene Christian, I had never seen play a single game ever.  But here I sit with my remote in hand clicking back and forth between CBS, TNT, TBS, and TruTV.  To be honest with you, these are the only days of the year when I even know TruTV exists.  And when you watch the promos for their shows, including a prank show hosted by the NBA's Blake Griffin, you know why the channel is not watched.

This year's tourney is exciting for the crazy upsets thus far.  And there have been a lot of really good games with several going into OT.  For me, it has been a strange tourney because I don't have a rooting interest at all.  I basically just root for the team I picked to win it all (Alabama) and whatever team is wearing the dark jersey, which is always the higher seed.  I like underdogs, which is kind of weird considering I do root for Kentucky after all.  But it is the enigma that is me.

What does that have to do with trading cards via PWE?  Absolutely nothing.  But there are only so many intros you can write that seamlessly segue into a trade bait post.   So instead of a wonderfully written piece of prose that inspires you to enter into a trade for a card you like, you get to read my ramblings on a sport you might not even like and then maybe enter into a trade for a card you like.  I guess that sometimes the destination is more important than the journey.

As always, I will trade for Rockies, Topps rookie cup cards, 86 Topps homages, the few remaining 2011 Topps Opening Day blues that I need for my master set, 2005 Topps Rookie Cup rainbows that I need, 2020 Donruss rainbows that I need, or the various insert sets I am currently putting together.  The links are working for 6 of those 7, and the other will be done shortly, but for now you can simply ask if I need it.

If you just simply don't have anything I need, don't worry about it.  We can still trade.  I will happily accept serial numbered cards from teams I am in short supply of at the moment.  All I ask is that you include an extra 1 or 2 just to take care of the stamp I will need to trade them later.

These are current teams I am comparatively low on trade stuff.

St. Louis, Baltimore, San Francisco, LA Angels, Boston

Could you put that '85 Frank Thomas parallel aside for me? The black borders work really well on that one.
