One thing that always bugged me about Mariners cards was the omission of Ichiro's last name. I understand he has an unusual first name, but this isn't pop music...use his last name. Let's take a look at the second half of the 2012 Seattle Mariners including the final Mariners card of Ichiro Suzuki.
My Top 5 Mariners Cards
1. Carlos Peguero
2. Hector Noesi
3. Miguel Olivo
4. Trayvon Robinson
5. Charlie Furbush
In my opinion the Peguero card is without a doubt the best and most interesting photo of this group. There are very few cards that show a pre-sliding catch like this one. The Noesi is rather bland except for the awesome red background. It just really pops for me, although I could see some people not liking it that much. I should have proven that I love catcher photos by now, and this Olivo throwing to first is no exception. The Robinson is cool for several reasons: the bunting, the 35 patch on his shoulder, the Royals in the background, and the appearance of the word YUNKER. I have no idea what that word means (or even if it is the complete word) but it makes me smile. Speaking of making me smile, I will now out myself as a 12 year old in a grown man's body. Charlie Furbush's name makes me giggle. I am not proud, but I gotta be me. Just to hopefully reclaim some of my depleted dignity, the photo on that card is also quite pleasant.
I'll be moving back to the Senior Circuit with team #9 tomorrow.

If it wasn't for this post, I wouldn't know where Oliver Perez was. He had a few decent years for my Padres, then went to the Mets, and then I lost track of him. Good to know where he is. Doesn't look too happy on this card, looks like he just gave up a big hit, which is probably the reason he got shipped out to the great Northwest.
