A place where Colorado Rockies baseball card collectors (all 3 of us) can waste some time reading about our favorite sport. The Rockies and their cards will be the primary focus, but I like to go off on tangents as well so anything and everything baseball related may be covered here.

2013 Quarry Unlimited - #10 Cleveland Indians Part 1

Finishing off the first third of this countdown, we have the Cleveland Indians.  The Indians became slightly more likable to me last year, but they are also the team that is most likely to have an Angels type free fall on my most liked teams list.  That is due to mainly one guy, manager Terry Francona.  Only one other manager in baseball history has caused me to dislike teams a lot more soon after he is hired and that is Tony LaRussa.  Francona is not nearly as bad as LaRussa, but he usually makes things quite a bit less enjoyable in the long run.  Or at least he has in the past.  As of right now, the Cleveland Indians are in my top 10 and still somewhat likable.  As you wait for the ax to fall on Cleveland, let's take a look at some trivia.

# of players to play in a Indians game (1993-2013) - 455

# of those players to have a Indians card (as of today) - 313

% of Indians players to appear on a Indians card - 68.8%

Big names left out - Cecil Fielder, Lance Parrish, Billy Ripken

# of new Indians in 2013 - 26

Total # of Indians in 2013 - 49

position on last year's list --   #12    =  UP 2

Let's take a look at the first half of the 2013 Cleveland Indians with the team card leading the way.

I'll be back tomorrow with Part 2.

Thanx for reading.
